Since 1981, the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan has grown to serve more than 331,000 people annually through a network of over 700 Hunger Relief Partners, including partner agencies, schools, and other community organizations.
Nearly half of the more than 29 million pounds of food we distribute each year is FRESH. How does that impact our communities? It means:
- 9 million pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables, including 24 types of Michigan-grown produce
- 2 million pounds of meat and protein
- 941,000 pounds of dairy products

Empty Bowls 2019
The Food Bank of Eastern Michigan’s 11th annual Empty Bowls fundraiser will be on Thursday, September 19, 2019. Our Hunger Solution Center will feature lunch and dinner with live entertainment and tours.
Reds, Whites & Brews 2019
Don’t miss out on our annual fundraiser at St. John’s Catholic Church in Davison, featuring food, beer, and wine from dozens of vendors, plus entertainment and networking! Reds, Whites & Brews will be held on November 1, 2019.
