Becoming A Partner Agency
The Food Bank of Eastern Michigan distributes food to needy individuals through a network of human service agencies across 22 counties of eastern Michigan. Only agencies located in the Food Bank’s service area can be members of the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan (counties in the Food Bank’s service area).
Partner agencies include church pantries, homeless shelters, the Red Cross, Salvation Army, and more… The primary criteria that an organization must meet to become a Food Bank member is having 501 (c) (3) or equivalent status from the IRS. Most churches qualify for Food Bank membership under this section of the IRS Code.
